August 9, 2009 PTSA Updates
To Nelsen Families:
I hope everyone has had a great summer. Although I am no longer at Nelsen, I will continue to help the Nelsen PTSA, and the new co-Presidents, Geri Garl, and Erica Conway, with e-mails, to keep Nelsen families informed.
If this is your first e-mail, WELCOME! You have successfully been added to the e-mail list, and will receive regular updates. The updates are meant to relay school, PTSA, and community information. But please note these e-mails will, in no way, replace regular U.S. mail, or written material sent through the students. The updates merely serve as additional notice, or a precursor of things to come, and help to rally parents and promote camaraderie. This will especially help for upcoming events that may require parental support. Please remember to ask for handouts from school, and read them!
This first e-mail will confirm your child's status at Nelsen:
1. If your child is no longer at Nelsen, please reply, "No Nelsen E-Mail" in the subject line. Nothing else needs to be written.
2. If your child is moving up to LINDBERGH HIGH SCHOOL, and you would like to be on an e-mail list, please also indicate, "Yes Lindbergh E-Mail 2013". E-mail addresses from Nelsen will NOT be automatically rolled over to Lindbergh. This is a courtesy to any parent who signs up for e-mails and is NOT automated. For Nelsen's e-mail addresses, they are separated alphabetically, so I have no record of what grade your child(ren) are in. At Lindbergh, e-mails are separated by Class, since there may be specific information for the freshmen, sophomores, etc.
3. If you are staying at Nelsen, you do not need to contact me, or sign-up again at the beginning of the school year, unless your e-mail address has changed.
If, at any time, you wish to opt out of the e-mail updates, please let me know. If you or someone else already provided an e-mail address, but have not been receiving updates, please try these tips:
1. I may have a wrong e-mail address for you - if so, please e-mail me at sidekik@msn.com and I will add you in.
2. Your server may be filtering the e-mails to your spam/junk mail folder. If you add me to your address list, this will alleviate the problem.
